Work backwards from your week
Count how many lunches you actually need before shopping. Choose ingredients you already enjoy and can use in more than one meal.
Keep components flexible
Preparing a grain, a protein food and vegetables separately gives you more options than making five identical meals. Adjust portions and ingredients to your appetite, dietary needs and preferences.

Plan storage too
Follow the food-safety guidance on packaging and from your local public-health authority. Keep perishable food chilled during storage and transport, and freeze portions you will not use promptly.
Make the routine easier
Keep a short shopping list and a backup lunch option. You do not need a perfect plan for it to be useful. This is general information, not personalized nutrition advice.
